I purchased a Panasonic split airconditioner with a super ionizer since 2 years ago when i moved into the house. it gave me a lot of fan problems such as fan failure, fan noise and insufficient airflow every now and then regardless of settings chosen on the remote. The Panasonic has been serviced 3 times within a 2 year period and had a new fan replacement. I also have 2 LG 'artcool' and a Hitachi airconditioner in other bedrooms and have never given any problems and serviced only once so far.
We just moved house about 2 months ago. This time, we were recommended the Toshiba and Hitachi model. Quite a number of dealers told us to stay away from Panasonic because they too have heard from other customer complaining to them!
We chose the Hitachi in the end because it was a bit cheaper and partly because our old Hitachi never gave any problems.
So far so good and it works rather well too! I would recommend Hitachi to anyone who values reliability and performance anytime!
