I purchased this unit 2 weeks ago and love it. It hasn't gotten real hot here yet in Wisconsin, however the heater works great. I used it today and it raised the temp. in half of the whole house 5 degrees in short time. I haven't seen any water yet in the holding tank, but it is dry here. I will see how good it works this summer when it gets real hot. I plan on having it cool half of the house at a time like my old heavy window 12,000 btu unit did. The nice thing is at night I can move it into the bedroom. My house is a 5 year old ranch insulated real well and my old window A/C did 1000 square feet of it really well. I hope this portable unit will do the same.I did a lot of research on portables and I believe the Sunpentown 13,000btu portable A/C HTR unit is energy efficent and one of the most powerful units you can buy that will run on regular 15amp 110v circuit.
