Comments:
I unsuccessfully burned nine of these CD's on a GQ-6064 computer (from Fry's). The CD drive is listed as an ATAPI CDRW 52X32 in XP's Device Manager. I never had a problem with any media in this drive. Both Nero and Roxio offered the option of 16X and 24x and Optimal or Maximum.
I burned 9 CD's with setting at optimal. During the burn, actual speed was shown to be approx. 16X or 17X. I tried to read them on another computer with an Emprex 1016IM DVD drive and an older Sony CD-RW (12x max). I could not copy one file. Brought them back to the GQ-6064 and still could not read them.
On the GQ-6064 I tried using Windows XP's write to CD feature, all the way down to 1X speed, but still the files were unreadable, or the directory was not even readable.
I was able to burn one usable CD with the Emprex 1016IM DVD drive. I am assuming it will work OK with this drive.
I bought them to transfer large files from the GQ-6064 to the other computer (in another location), but they turn out to be unusable for the task.
