I live in the kitchen - make everything from scratch. I have burned up - used up and thrown out more blenders than I care to remember. I was frustrated and just wanted a good blender without problems. My friend sold these and told me this was what I needed. I took it home and have been amazed with this machine. I make dressings and lots of solid things and have never had to push down any food. The cycles of this machine do it for me. I love it and use it sometimes 3-5 times a day. I left a metal fork in the machine and got distracted - turned it on and all it did was bend the fork - but it kept going till I turned it off. I feared I had ruined my blender but it did not seem to hurt a thing. When it started to sound funny about a year later - because of what I had done with the fork - I called and told the company what I did and that I needed to buy a new top beucase I had messed it up. They would not even tell me how much it was but insisted on replacing it under warranty. This is a wonderful product. It really gets the job done - first time - every time!
