Get another Router...

Stay away from this Router... Even after a BIOS upgrade, the router kept hanging every time my ISP would change IP Addresses. On top of that, after 3 hours on the phone with support, the best they can offer is for me to send in the faulty router which is only 3 months old and they will send me a refurbished router - not a new one and no advance replacement ?!?! Very poor service.... If your Netgear ever is broken, consider it a frisbee - go out and get a Linksys !!!

Netgear RP614 impressions

I've done some research into various brands and models for a firewall enabled router and have heard nothing but woes from other reviews with people dealing with Linksys. Netgear I ended up choosing in part due to a great rebate offer and the features. Asit turns out it installed so easily without any problems and tested fine through two different remote security sites as invisible. The only shortcoming was the hardware is vulnerable to personal data extraction but the so-called 200 software firewall it comes with deals with that. One should look to still include a software firewall in addition to a hardware one to deal with outgoing issues such as spyware or personal security issues. I highly recommend this router!
