, Feb. 28, 2004
Comments:
I didn't have time to research before my trip, but wanted a small, cheap camcorder with digital camera feature to fit in my purse. I guess you get what you pay for. IF you like to use your tapes to capture photos of movement< this one jumps ahead instead

QuickTake:

Pros: Fits in my purse, easy to whip out for fast shooting,
Cons: no frame by frame for tape-photo transfer, confusing menu

On the third time I used my brand new Elura, it started malfunctioning - the DV tape drive would die. Since then I've sent it to Canon Service Headquarters twice - the unit works a couple of times then breaks again. If you haven't dealt with Canon Factory
