JVC's 'customer care' department appears to consist of 2 guys trained to be as obnoxious and rude as they can to anyone who complains about JVC products! I bought a JVC camcorder a couple of years ago and I will never, ever, buy another product with the

The Image Stabilization does not work at all. I shot the same test pattern with and without OIS and editied the two clips together on my computer and there was no difference. Too much to pay for a camera that lacks this feature.

Aslo f

JVC Everio GZ-HD7: Hi-def for munchkins

Comments:
In a show dominated by buzz over the future of high definition, it's no surprise that all the major camcorder manufacturers felt compelled to throw a fighting dog into the pit at CES. The JVC Everio GZ-HD7 looks rather special, as it seems to combine the

Product Rating: 5 star(s) JVC GZ-HD7

Comments:
The GZ-HD7 is the first consumer Full HD camcorder. It uses three 16:9 progressive scan CCDs and a Fujinon lens normally found only on broadcast models. So at least there's a reason for the scary £1,700 they want for it.

Review Verdict: It's not cheap but the pictures are superb with detail levels surpassing anything we've seen on a consumer model

Comments:
A great next-generation camcorder, but it lacks editing support for the recording format

Review Verdict: But video quality is only half the story. The HD7 is held back by the lack of compatible software. Although it offers a FireWire connection and is detected by Windows, we couldn't get any software to capture from it. Instead, the USB port must be used to

JVC GR-HD7 Camcorder Review

Comments:
JVC's GZ-HD7 is a powerhouse camcorder that offers a solid package of handling, manual controls, and features. Then why do HDV camcorders costing hundreds less produce better looking video? The problem, once again, might be JVC's determination to forge i

Review Verdict: The GZ-HD7's imaging specs make great promises: three 1/5-inch CCDs which (through some complex optics) add up to 2.27 megapixels. A three-chip construction usually results in better color than a single chip, and we found nothing to complain about in that

Comments:

Review Verdict: JVC's Everio GZ-HD7 is a good, high-definition hard disk camcorder, however it is outperformed in several areas by competing models. For many users it will be perfectly adequate, but the high price tag and smattering of image quality issues mean there may

Product Rating: 4 star(s) JVC Everio GZ-HD7E HD camcorder

Comments:
A consumer camcorder with a 1,920 x 1,080i resolution and no tapes. Sounds good, but is it?

Review Verdict: Overall, JVC's GZ-HD7E is a very capable camcorder but until more applications support editing, its output will remain one for the gadget-hungry consumer rather than more serious enthusiasts.
