I used memorex discs,both dvd-rw and dvd-r.After burning the discs,i tried it on my dvd player:sony ddu 1621 to see if it would read it.Horrors!Firstly it sounded like the motor would speed up and slow down and it went on and on for 2 minutes!I tried stopping it by going to my computer and then to the removable storage,and tried ejecting it safely from there.It failed.I tried task manager but it won't even respond.Finally it did it open,i tried end task and got reply,not responding.
My pc then froze!It happened for 2 mins and i pressed the power button,still no response.Tried reset button and it worked.(One time was so bad,i had to insert a paper clip at emergency eject hole and finally it ejected!!)
Thought it was bad luck ,i tried again and it happened 3 times and i contacted sony on line but it no reply for 3 days now.Sent second incident report,still no reply.Phoned for customer support,kept on hold for 5 minutes or more and finally disconnected.It happened 3 times, i gave up hope!
Tried 3 times to uninstalling at add/remove but sonic dla is still there and it refused to uninstall.Tried start-programs and tried uninstall and if unsuccessful,started deleting it.Went to registry and went on rampage to delete anything that has sonic dvd/recordnow/dla/power dvd/cyberlink/and so on.
Guess what?Sonic DLA still there in Add/remove Programs!!Real diehard taking 3 MB of my diskspace!Returned to Business depot for money back,I hope Sony hears this and get their act together!!Hello LG GSA-4081B.SONY YOU GONNA SQUIRM NOW!!

Have had this for a week and have not had any problems burning a DVD yet. Have burned 50 of them without making one coaster. Use Ritek DVD-R discs and quality is excellant.
