Product Rating: 3 star(s) T-Mobile G1 review

Comments:
T-Mobile is the first smartphone to bring Google's highly anticipated G1 mobile phone to the UK. Can it knock the iPhone off its perch? It's unlikely, but we still found the T-Mobile G1 to be one of the most interesting bits of kit we've seen in a while.

Review Verdict: In many ways it's a shame that the T-Mobile G1 has been lined up as a potential "iPhone killer", because that's a hard tag to live up to. And we'll get straight to the point and say: "no, it isn't".

Product Rating: 3.5 star(s) HTC Dream

Comments:
We're not in love with the design and would have liked some additional features; however, the Google Android platform has the potential to make smartphones more personal and powerful.

Review Verdict: Google's Android is awesome, but the Dream needs work. Parts of this handset are superb, but its lacklustre design and poor battery life hold it back significantly.
