Motorola Razr V3xx - gray (AT&T)
by Kent German
Review Verdict:
Though its feature set didn't live up to expectations, the Motorola Razr V3xx cell phone improves on many of the traditional Razr pitfalls that have plagued the product line since its inception. As such, it's the most satisfying Razr to date.

QuickTake:
Pros: The Motorola Razr V3xx cell phone offers decent call quality, stereo Bluetooth, and a great interior display. And thanks to the HSDPA data connection, it offers zippy Web browsing, fast downloads, and admirable streaming video quality.
Cons: The Motorola Razr V3xx isn't a quadband world phone, and its 1.3-megapixel camera is inadequate for such a high-end handset. Also, the voice dialing is unreliable, the phone lacks stereo speakers, and the data settings for third-party applications are too
I heard rumors about this phone before I purchased it. I figured they might have been isolated incidents...until roughly a month after I bought it. It started with the screen cutting out randomly. The phone was never dropped, or submerged in water, or taken apart, there was no reason for the screen to go blank while the phone still worked. The back cover wouldn't stay securely in place in order to hold the sim card, when I would open the phone it would delay a minute or two before I could scroll through my contacts because the sim card became unattached and reattached, I'm assuming. The phone physically looks great, but it is not in any way, shape, or form reliable. When you purchase a cell phone, you expect it to work when you need to make or receive a call. This would've served as a better paperweight than a reliable cell phone.
