Product Rating: 5.00 star(s) The Best there is right now on the market!

Comments:
I would recommend this product. The call quality is suprisingly solid, it's easy to handle, and eliminates having to carry around a PDA anymore. Though all you can eat internet plans are expensive (as much as fifty bucks for verizon), there's no better way to always stay connected. If you have the cash then spring for it.

Plus, you can get yours for free like I did...check it out.

Product Rating: 5.00 star(s) For travellers with too many toys in their bag; this is it!

Comments:
For people like me, on the road always, the Treo 650 of PalmOne is the perfect solution. I bought mine direct from the PalmOne website and bought the unlocked GSM version which cost a lot but gives you all the freedom with providers and so on.

This device does everything; calendar, contacts, e-mail (sychronized and real-time), chat, SMS (with chat option), acrobat reader, Word, excel & powerpoint documents, camera, MP3 player and Oh yes .... it is a bluetooth mobile phone as well.

People do ask me if I can make a call with this thing as well and I must say, the calling minutes are less then if you have a gerular cell phone as you can communicate in more ways then that when on the road.

With GPRS you are continuously online on MSN and/or Yahoo chat and you can set intervals to check several e-mail accounts.

The keyboard is very small but once used to it it is a lot better then a regular cell phone keyboard where you need to hit keys 3 to 4 times to get a character.

The user interface is very good. Esspecially when you start at the phone menu and you personalize the keys below, the naviagation through the options you use the most is very good. The machine also has several message systems to warn about voice-mails, e-mails, SMS messages and error messages (yes you have those as well).

The camera is OK but could have been better. The focus over 15 ft. is not very good. I would have paid $100 more for a better camera. The menu of the camera and the archive options are easy and clear. The standard delivered case however, covers the lens and that is not clever from the designer of this cover.

The MP3 player (standard delivered with Real) is very good as well. I had a 512 MB card that I put in the devide and with the plug-in delivered with the Treo 650 for Real Player, you can easily crop your MP3 files in 128/kbps or lower and you have 4 to 8 hours of fine stereo music on the same device where you can read you e-mails, documents and calendar.

The software is very good and user friendly. I took the trial versions of Verichat to be online with Yahoo and MSN and Mnotes from Commonline to synchronize with Lotus Notes as this is (unfortunatly) our company e-mail, calendar and contacts system.

Since I bought it 3 weeks ago, 3 colleagues already ordered it too and more will follow. This is the ideal device for frequent travellers and I can stongly recommend this to all of them as well as to all gadget freaks out there. Concidering that CE devices, Palm tungstens and others are cheaper but always need something else to be complete I suggest to buy this and throw away all the other ****, including you Apple mini and shuffle i-pods!

QuickTake:

Pros: Very versatile, everything on one, easy to use
Cons: Small keyboard, 2,5mm headphone plug

Comments:
The 650 really picks up where the 600 left off, and while it doesn't look too different to the eye, many of the changes are under the hood or subtle manipulations of the 600's design. It runs the new Palm OS 5.4 and has a much faster 312MHz Intel PXA270 p...
