I have a 12 pot SS Gevalia, but without instructions on how to use the programming capabilities. It makes great coffee, but it is kinda like having a baseball bat at a tennis match. I can hit the ball ok but I cannot finesse worth a darn.
QuickTake:
Pros: Great coffee maker!
Cons: No instructions - cannot use progarammable features

At first, I thought I had really made a great deal getting this pot when Gevalia offered it for $15 with the purchase of Gevalia coffee. The coffee tasted awful for the first few brewings, but after a few uses, it was making great tasting coffee. However, the design makes it very difficult to fill it with water, and every time one opens the lid to fill it up, the water that has accumulated on the inside of the lid drips down the back and makes a mess on your counter. Also the warming plate had peeled and looks awful. But the main reason I threw mine in the garbage is that on several occasions, for some unknown reason, 50% - 75% of the water from the coffee pot has ended up on my counter making a tremendous mess. I've had enough -- I guess you get what you pay for. The sad thing is Gevalia sells this pot at a regular price of $99.95. Beware.
QuickTake:
Pros: Attractive
Cons: Hard to fill; water runs down back; warrming plate peels;

I have had my Gevalia coffee pot for a little over a year now and I am pleased with it for the most part. I like the features such as you can pour your cup in the middle of brewing, so if your in a hurry you do not have to wait for the pot to finish brewing, it will actually pause when you remove the pot. I also like the auto start feature, nothing better them waking up in the morning to the smell of fresh coffee!!! It is a little hard to pour the water in an angle that it does not spill but other than that it's great!

I have had four coffee makers of this design in the last three years. Each coffee maker was working fine when it

QuickTake:
Pros: Nice finish; easy coffee filling
Cons: Faulty clock (4 replacements); hard to fill with H2O.

my review is 50 50 i guess. we find it annoying that when you lift the lid, water does run off the lid and down the back of machine and makes quite a puddle on the counter.
QuickTake:
Pros: it is attractive
