This coffee maker was a gift. It's very large and takes up a lot of counter space. Recently it started leaking and I can't find a new washer or part to repair it. It's worthless to me like this.

Co worker brought the brew station in from home. After 2 months, there was coffee on the counter; we thought someone was being careless. Wiping up the spill and lifting the unit, we saw the coffee leaking on the counter, approximately a mug full in 2-3 minutes! It also started dripping from the serving spout, filling the tiny tray until it overflowed, adding to the mess. Plus, the coffee has stained the "window" of the serving receptacle. Result? Can't tell how much or if any coffee is remaining. Also, pushing on the button to serve coffee? Don't try it with a paper or foam cup!

Main problem is leaking, coffee maker has emptied itself on the counter 3 times. Going in the dumpster today. Coffee also cooled off too quickly and tasted of plastic. I will never buy a qravity feed coffee maker again.

great idea, poor design. the seals are included in the box. that is a bad sign right there. Hamilton Beach knows it leaks, that is why they include the seals.
<br><br>I am moving on to the Cuisinart carafe-less design next.

I wish the manufacturer would redesign this model so it wouldn't leak. I LOVE the concept of this unit. There are more pros than cons for this unit. I would buy it again even with it's problem.

PRODUCT WOULD BE MUCH MORE BENEFICIAL TO CONSUMER IF IT HAD A STAINLESS STEEL COFFEE RESERVOIR. COFFEE GETS COLD QUICKLY!!!

I have bought this machine for two families of coffee lovers! They love the unit and have had no problems since christmas 04. In fact, I'm buying another for my parents camp since she loves it so much! It's a great machine and they've had no complaint

We thought it would be nice to not have to mess w/ paper thin glass carafe's which break to frequently. So we spent extra $$$ thinking in the end we would save on replacing carafes. Since owning this unit we have had continued problems with the seal leaking at the dispenser opening site. Not cool when you go to get your next cup and coffee is all over your counter due to this. Have replaced the dispenser several times. Our unit was not even 2 months old when it happened. Company did replace but, due to the problem, it took several weeks as the dispenser was on back order. That says alot right there.
Great idea for a coffee pot BUT---Hamilton Beach just needs to do some work to get it right.
