Melitta ME2TMB Coffee Maker poor investment

Comments:
The Melitta ME2TMB Coffee Maker is a good idea: The coffee drains directly into one or two nice travel mugs. But after 2 years of minimal use, the water well would not empty. I cleaned it with vinegar to no avail. I called the manufacturer - Salton/Toastmaster - and was informed that since it was made in China, what do I expect?

I expect not to buy their products again.
