I read a number of reviews on this monitor before purchasing. Many were positive and a few were negative. I actually would like to thank one of the people who wrote a negative review because he stated what his problem was and stated what he had to do to overcome it but also included a solid explanation for the cause. His problem had to do with a poor picture quality because the cable provided is not well shielded and once he replaced the cable it worked fine. I had an extra cable already so I went ahead an purchased the monitor. I set it up with the one that came in the box but while it did seem on the light side, I did not encounter the same problem and mine is working fine. But I still appreciate the heads up rather than just yelling about a problem with no clear explanation. So for that person who wrote that review. My hat is off to you. But for me this product is working fine with no need to do anything special.
