Review : Viewsonic 22inch Panel VX2245wm

Comments:
This is a widescreen panel that is also a dock for your iPod allowing you to charge and or play it while working at your PC. Just like the Swiss army knife this has more much more.

Review Verdict: I used it both with analogue and digital connections and to be honest both looked almost identical to me. The extra size over say the 19inch comes at a monetary price however the extra desk space size is not huge. Being widescreen things like DVD's look b

A decent LCD in its own right, but the speakers are poor and the dock isn't much more than an expensive gimmick.

Review Verdict: But switch off the PC and the VX1945wm shows its real party trick: the base has a separate power supply and power switch, allowing you to plug in the iPod, switch on the speakers and use it as a jukebox. Obviously, you're restricted to using the iPod itse

Comments:
Compared to the Dell LCD however, the VX2245 isn't as adept in terms of displaying digital photos. In particular, the skin tones in our test picture looked more natural and real on the Dell whereas the Viewdock seemed to add a slight artificial tan.

Review Verdict: The VX2245wm performs very well as a standalone LCD and at $600, is reasonably priced.

Our only issue with this fantastic panel was that its attractive black finish retains fingerprints rather easily.

Review Verdict: This Viewsonic VX1945VM is very impressive as a LCD monitor by itself, however throw in its added functionality and it's a real knock out.

It has a decent screen, built-in iPod dock and a very competitive price

ViewSonic's ViewDock VX1945wm is an attractive monitor that comes with an integrated iPod dock. The display is pretty good -- its 5ms response time ensure there's no ghosting -- but you may be disappointed by the sound quality
