This unit takes long time to heat up, I let mine go 45 minutes and it never reached 374 on an extenal thermometer. When it was above 350 I tried 12 tater tots, the temperature plummeted and the tots got soggy. I have spent over two hours trying to serve my children chicken nuggets and tots for diner, this has been an aweful experience. the only good point is the easy cleanup. Highly disappointed with this fryer. Do not recommend.
