Comments:
A great value for the price I paid. The only problem I have is that with large hands, some of the controls are a little small. The software included makes it very easy to work with my photos.

QuickTake:

Pros: Out and out takes great pictures.
Cons: The controls are a little on the small side for someone with larger hands.

Review Verdict: The Canon PowerShot A580 is a worthy successor to an entire line of moderately priced, yet capable compact cameras marketed by Canon over the past couple of years. In two weeks of use, I have found basic operation to be highly intuitive, with the contr

Canon's PowerShot A580 is the middle model in a trio of similar digicams that are targeted at family snapshooters. Affordably priced, their RRPs go up in $50 steps, corresponding with increasing resolution, zoom range and associated functions. All three m

Review Verdict: Pictures taken with the test camera showed a slightly wider dynamic range than we normally see with small-sensor digicams. Although we found blown-out highlights in outdoor shots, shadows were captured with minimal noise and a fair amount of detail. Colou
