Best Buy - You Won't Regret It

I did months of research before buying. I found that the Canon G9 has the best image quality for non-SLR cameras. This camera takes identical pictures since this camera has all the same stuff used to create images that the G9 has, e.g., lens, CCD, etc. Furthermore, this camera's fold-out and rotating screen is EXTREMELY handy. Movie quality is very good, but don't try zooming in while filming movies. It reduces the image to unbearably low quality. I wanted the high (useful) pixel count to enable me to crop photos (primarily macro photos). This camera is perfect for that. A creature 3 mm long was over 450 pixels. The camera plugs directly into the TV for a slide show or to watch (& hear) movies. Very enjoyable. Battery life is VERY GOOD, but I wish there were an indicator telling me that the batteries were GETTING low. Instead, it just said, Batteries are low and turned itself off. My oldest daughter hates the camera because the image quality is so good it shows every everything!

Pros: It has tremendous versatility and great ease of use. If you get a primary camera without a swivel LCD, this is it.
Cons: It is not miniature, or ultralight, I wish the flash was a touch more powerful.

A great underwater combination. I cannot find anything bad about this camera. The different shooting modes makes taking great pictures with superb clarity easy. The underwater housing made by Canon for this camera is easy to use and inexpensive.
