Its perfect for all around photography lightweight and easy to caryy all day. I use it in any "dry weather" situation. long range is not as easy as advertised.

Although the Canon Digital IXUS 75 doesn't have many whistles and bells, the large screen and smart styling easily make up for what is by today's standards an undistinguished spec sheet. Above all, picture quality is excellent for this size of compact

Amazing Camera

This camera has everything I wanted. Takes great pictures and is very easy to use. the zoom feature is great when trying to get close up photos. I used it on a camping trip and got some amazing pictures. The only bad thing was my nephew also liked it so much I didnt get to use it as much as I would have liked too.

I use this camera for everyday pictures, and it does the job very well. The 12x zoom is perfect. Overall it's a very good camera, whose picture quality is just a little worse than a SLR, but at one forth of the price...

I researched a lot of cameras before I bought this one. All were in similar price ranges and provided me the variety of use where I commonly find myself interested in taking a picture. This does everything I want to do. I am not disappointed at all.

Cons: The lens cover comes off way too easily.

Powerful Canon PowerShot S5 IS

I will primarly be using the camera for family photos and a record of building improvements to our home. I like the ability to film video for short periods of time. Also, this camera utilizies the HC chips so you have the storage capacity on one chip that you would need for a long trip before having to change chips.

QuickTake:

Pros: Camera has been designed to accomodate the average user as well as the professional.

Cons: Operating manual and guide could be better written. Especially, when getting into the advanced menus.

My Canon S5 IS is Great

Image and video quality are perfect. I have been using it for taking pix at my current trip in japan, sightseeing, parties, etc... it's best at day time pix taking. maybe I still need to practice taking shots at night.

Having had a PowerShot A80 with the movable LCD screen this is what I was looking for in a replacement camera. The new larger size is a bonus, shooting car races over the heads of spectators just got easier! The quick start up is a real bonus the camera is ready almost before I am. I will probably never use all the options but experimentation has showed me a whole new area of creativity using some of the built-in functions - thank you CANON!
