I was shopping for cameras for months. I just happened to stumble across this particular model. After trying it out in the shop, I bought it. I have absolutely no complaints about the camera. For the price I have yet to see a camera that offers more.

QuickTake:

Pros: Great little camera, lots of features, awesome pics
Cons: A little heavy for the size, no sound

I mostly use 35mm slr's for my work but wanted to try a compact digital camera to carry in my shirt pocket for quick shots and to easily email photos. Read lots of reviews and decided to try the Casio QV-R40 because of price, size and 4-meg resolution. WO

I have owned an Olympus digital for about five years. I wanted to upgrade to a digital camera with zoom. I didnt necessarily want a "compact" camera, however, I did want great pics and minimium three megapixels. I looked closely at Sony, Fuji and Olympus

I found it easy to use, good solid feel, uses rechargables that come with it or regular 2 AA batteries. Built in 10 mg memory is too little. NO sound option. 22 different options for taking a picture (portrait, landscape, night, etc) some are nonsensical.

QuickTake:

Pros: Small, lightweight, easy to use
Cons: No sound options, comes with only 10 mg

See why I recommended getting a larger memory card?

Review Verdict: When it's time to recharge the battery, just pop them into the included charger. It takes around four hours to fully recharge the two batteries. This is my favorite kind of charger, too -- just plug it right into the wall (no cables needed)
