I will mainly use my camera to take pictures of my son/family and all of our activities. I like the shutter speed and ability to zoom. It takes good pics inside and outside in bright and low light. My son loves the video feature to take short video clips.

The camera itself is excellent. It is easy to use, the manual shows you everything you need to know to take quality photos. I have not printed any pics yet, but they look great on my computer screen. The software to manage the photos is a little slow and cumbersome, I will probably use another software for this purpose.

I originally owned a Fuji S3000. The S700 gives me more control over my shots with the addition of 10X optical zoom and 7.1 magapixals, as well as almost full manual override for most operations. The camera is well designed and fits my hand perfectly.

I have not had the camera long but so far I love it. It makes me feel like a pro. I have yet to print off any pictures but I am sure the photo quality is going to be great. I upgraded from a Canon 3.2 MP it's like going from a Ford Escort to an Explorer. Very easy to use and get used to.
