The Coolpix 5700 was great, no complaints. Then one day is stopped working for no apparant reason. It will not focus anymore. This was my first Nikon, and my last.

Filters for 5700.

Get a 40.5mm filter & very carefully file 80% of the threads off using a fine file with a safe edge & finish with a nail file. My filter snapped in with light pressure, no glue was used & it is a tight fit. Final fit should be done when filter is cool & c
