Product Rating: 4.5 star(s) Nikon D300 | Our Review | TechRadar UK

Comments:
The D300 is a professional camera capable of producing superb images and it feels like it's been hewn out of granite. But it's also heavy and expensive - and now overshadowed, perhaps, by Nikon's own D3

Review Verdict: Live View modes also raise the spectre of dust - a perennial problem with digital SLRs anyway. But if the mirror's going to be up and the shutter open for extended periods of time while you compose the shot on the LCD, dust spots become much more likely.

Hands on with the Nikon D300

Comments:
Nikon has stepped up its game with this excellent mid-level digital SLR.

Review Verdict: Despite some minor quibbles, the Nikon D300 proves that it's not only a highly capable camera but one that has raised the bar for next generation mid-level DSLRs. When it comes to digital cameras, competition may be a photographer's best friend

Hands-on Review: Nikon D300 Digital SLR

Comments:
A semi-professional 12-megapixel (MP) camera, the D300 benefits from some of the technology developed for Nikon's latest pro model, the D3. It's a substantial upgrade over the highly-rated D200 with two megapixel of additional resolution, a CMOS (not CCD

Product Rating: 5 star(s) Nikon D300

Comments:
The Nikon D200 was a truly great camera that offered professional performance at an enthusiast's price. Even now, its 10-megapixel CCD sensor can easily hold its own compared with similarly-priced rivals, and the robust build quality was - and still is -

Review Verdict: There's no doubt that the image quality is stunning, but the D300 is also heavy, pricey and sophisticated to the point of being overpowering. And, with the arrival of Nikon's full-frame pro SLR, the D3, can you justify investing in the smaller DX format (

Comments:
A big leap forward? You bet. See how the D300 shapes up against Nikon's D2X...

Review Verdict: Having the same sensor size and battery as the D2X is impressive, but does not make the Nikon D300 a groundbreaking camera. What does make the D300 groundbreaking is the way it draws together most of the best functions seen in cameras across the board for

An expensive camera, but one offering superb image quality, features and handling

Review Verdict: Instead, it's Nikon's DX format, which at 23.6 x 15.8mm is almost exactly the same size as the APS-C sensors found in Canon's consumer range and the Sony A700. But, like Nikon's professional range, the D300's body is magnesium alloy and weighs 964g with n

Nikon D300 Review

The Nikon D300 can be purchased from amazon.com in the followingcombinations:

Review Verdict: Nikon introduced the D300 on August 23, 2007, along with the NikonD3. The two cameras share a lot of features and some components. Themain difference is that the D3 has a larger 23.9x36mm sensor, which isessentially the same size as a traditional 35mm fil

The new Nikon D300 seems to live up to all its hype and even exceeds it in a couple of cases, especially high ISO shooting
