This camera outperforms most digital cameras. Picture quality and ease of operations makes this camera a top choice for a beginner to professional. I only wish it came with a remote control button in addition to a 2 or 10 second timer.

QuickTake:

Pros: Good quality, 10 MB pixels
Cons: no remote control button to operate the shutter from a distance of 10 - 15 feet

Review Verdict: With a whopping 18X optical-zoom lens and image stabilization, there's a lot to like about the Olympus SP-550 UZ, but a few features need to be enhanced for it to become king of the superzooms.
