Product Rating: 4 star(s) Better than a digital and every bit as good as a SLR.

, Nov. 16, 2008
Comments:
I was looking to go to the next level for a digital camera without going to a professional SLR. The olympus sp-560uz fits the bill and gives me an edge for my picture taking when I want perfection for my unique camera needs.

QuickTake:

Pros: Unsurpassed quality for price. Every shot clear. Value for ease of use and wide angle ability.
Cons: Quarky issue where you can't zoom and take sound movies.

Product Rating: 2 star(s) Too many bugs in this product.

, May. 8, 2008
Comments:
Too many bugs in the costly camera. Internal system was out of whack. Continued to give me a "Zoom Error" warning, and froze up after that. They were no cure for in the trouble shooting part of the users manual to correct this error.

QuickTake:

Pros: Nice looking camera.
Cons: Wouldn't work correctly for me.

Product Rating: 4.25 star(s) Review: Olympus SP-560UZ ultrazoom digital camera

Comments:
The SP-560UZ is smaller than a D-SLR, larger than the average point-and-shoot and packs a whopping 18x zoom lens. Do we really need all that lens, or is the package too big for us to use often?

Comments:
Olympus was one of the first manufacturers to realize that building digicams around small sensors allows much longer zooms to be offered without the bulk of the camera becoming unmanageable. With its "Ultra zoom" range, starting back in 2000 with the 2.1M
