Product Rating: 4 star(s) Good Camera, Great Price

Comments:
This is a great bridge camera, that is good for someone looking to advance their skills, but easy enough for a beginner to use. This camera is very fast, so you won't miss a shot. You probably want a tripod when you are using higher zooms. The image stabilization is good but not great. The flash is very weak, almost useless, so you need good lighting and maybe an external flash.

QuickTake:

Pros: great zoom, very responsive, easy to use
Cons: flash is weak, need tripod for full zoom

Love this camera! The zoom is unbelievable. The manual is daunting but the great features on this camera make learning by doing fairly easy to figure out. Have not yet tried video mode. I would recommend it to anyone.

QuickTake:

Pros: Zoom lens, has LCD screen and viewfinder, sharp pictures, face id.
Cons: The instruction manual is 139 pages.

Product Rating: 6 star(s) Not for a casual user

Comments:
I bought the camera primarily for the 18Xzoom, which delivers, but have found it way too difficult to figure out menus and settings. Have taken alot of blurred pics, steady handed, but still blurred, not very user friendly at all. I'm putting it up for sale on ebay.

QuickTake:

Pros: Large Lcd screen
Cons: Difficult to figure out all the menus and settings

Product Rating: 6 star(s) Too much camera for me

, May. 8, 2008
Comments:
I bought the camera primarily for the 18X zoom, was taking a Safari trip, thought it would help. Zoom is great, but camera is not user friendly, difficult to remember how to access all the different functions and settings. Does not focus well on quick shots, still can't figure out how to get it to focus on closeups. Probably a great camera for a serious shooter, but not for the average camera taker.

QuickTake:

Pros: Large LCD, lots of options for an experienced photographer.
Cons: Too complicated for the average buff.
