Comments:
A cameras main function is to take pictures, this one doesn't do that very well. Get a good 6 Mega Pixel like the Canon Digital Rebel, it will take better pictures even though the resolution is lower than the Sony. I've owned a Sony DSC-F505V and used

QuickTake:

Pros: Interface/body are great, CF is a great addition
Cons: Image Quality is bad. High Noise, Chromatic Abberation

Sony DSC-F828 Cyber-shot: Long Lens, High Quality

Comments:
The number of pixels keeps rising even as the price of digital cameras keeps falling. Case in point: the 8-megapixel, sub-$1,000 Sony DSC-F828 Cyber-shot. This long-lensed camera produces excellent images, but you'll need both hands to shoot with it. Ben

Review Verdict: The modified Bayer CCD layout (green-red-emerald-blue, instead of green-red-green-blue) is also quite interesting, and I would have liked to have seen this fleshed out further in the review: What does it actually do vs. what it's claimed to do

Review Verdict: Optical distortion on the F828 was lower than average at the wide-angle end, where I measured approximately 0.7 percent barrel distortion, very good for a 28mm zoom, but still more than I like to see. (Barrel and pincushion distortion are pet peeves of mi

Product Rating: 4 star(s) REVIEW ââ'¬â€ Sony DSC-F828

Comments:
SONYââ'¬â"¢s DSC F828 set some new standards for digital still cameras when it was released in early 2004. It was the first of the pseudo SLR cameras with the Sony 8 megapixel sensor, a 7x Zeiss zoom lens that ranges from 28 to 200mm in 35mm equivalents.

Review Verdict: : The Sony DSC-F828 was the first of its type and it is still one of the best. The Olympus 8080 challenges the Sony on some points, particularly responsiveness. And the Olympus is $500 cheaper.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F828

Comments:
Sony's latest is the first nonprofessional model with an 8-megapixel, four-color CCD.

Review Verdict: Fast, powerful, and enjoyable to use, this camera should please advanced shooters, as long as they can live without refinements like user settings and the ability to disable the camera's auto power-off.
