Pros: Great specs for the price: 6.3-megapixel CMOS sensor; seven manually selectable autofocus points; a four-shot, 2.5 frames-per-second continuous shooting speed, regardless of resolution.
Cons: Sacrifices some controls; can select only partial metering mode--automatically decides evaluative and center-weighted; similar limitations apply to focus tracking; viewfinder does not show 100 percent; inherits some of the quirks of the 10D.

Excellent first digital camera. The fact that you can use any Canon lens, or lens made for Canon makes it extremely versatile. It's exactly like using a film SLR except it's digital. What more can I say, but get a huge memory card because once you start clicking away you won't want to stop.
