In for repairs way too often

I purchased this camera for business use. Since receiving it we've sent it in for the same repair (lens error) 3 times. It's on it's way for the 4th! Waiting to hear what Canon has to say.

Fantastic Titanium Camera

For some reason this amazing camera seems to cop a lot of critism. I've used other Ixus cameras, and I chose this one over a 750, 800 or 850 because I prefer it - it's a work of art and the picture quality is faultless. Image stabilization is not needed, and when it comes down to it, you get the pic because the light weight super fast start up camera was sitting there in your pocket ready to go when the oportunity arose. If I had to replace it, I'd go straight out and get another one the same, and honestly, for what it is, it wasn't even very expensive - the titanium body is not an unnecessary expense, it's like a free extra!

Turns out lots of Canon's have this problem - lens does not retract and error message is indicated. At this point, camera needs to be sent in for repair - cost is $150 to $225. Many articles indicating Canon does not offer quality support for this problem.
