Review Verdict:

QuickTake:
Pros: Slim and sleek metal body, Long lasting battery, 2.5-inch, 230K pixel anti-glare LCD looks amazing, Easy to use
Cons: Weak specular flash creates unflattering shadows, Flash not on lens axis, Lens is slow and poorly placed, Limited aperture and shutter speed options in low light (even when controlled by camera), Tiny buttons, In-camera metering and exposure communic
I bought the DSC-T3 when it first came out at $599 because it was one of the first to have a 2.5 inch screen. I expected a well built camera that would last. From new it gave me spots at random on some pictures. At 18 months the flash failed. A week later the automatic lens cover failed. There are no authorized repair sites within hundreds of miles. Yes, it had a one year warranty. The company did not stand behind the failures since it was 18 months. The only remedy they offered was to send it, at my expense, to have it checked for $181(standard fee). The memory and the batteries are expensive and cannot be used in other brands. A major negative since now I must buy a new camera and it won't be a Sony.
