<br>The picture quality rivals DSLR cameras that I own and have used. The controls are laid out perfect, are easy to use and figure out.
<br>The menu functions are easy to understand and use.
<br>Lots of picture taking options and settings, you can get creative or go fully automatic, and even easier is the "easy" setting, which requires no user input other than pointing and pressing the shutter button, and the pictures turn out great.
<br>The smile, face detection and multi point focus options work perfect.
<br>The night shot mode is fun to use and works great.
<br>The camera is lightweight and ergonomic for comfortable long periods of use.

<br>The lens ring adapter and flower get in the way of the auto focus beam, and sometimes creates a shadow on the picture if used indoors, particularly with flash, but then its basically for protecting the lens from sun and the elements, I don't use it indoors anymore (ring and flower) due to above mentioned issues.

<br>You'll have to purchase a memory stick and spare battery, the batteries are expensive, but that's with any camera, both items are readily available.
<br>
<br>I hate that sony doesn't use SD cards like the rest of the industry.
