You pay extra for Maytag dependability...right. WRONG! Dishwasher needed to be replaced in just over a year. Pump and motor gone. Repairs cost as much as a new dishwasher. Warranty fine print excluded pump and motor...hmmmm. No more Maytags!

Dishwasher does an excellent job of getting dishes clean and runs very quietly while doing so. However, at the end of the cycle, there is a residue of about 2 inches of filthy, smelly water in the bottom of the machine. The manual says it's supposed to "
