Owned the piece for approximately 4 days, the 1st day I got it was able to record one program no problem. But the quality of the recording was somewhat grainy and dark even with SP mode. Then the next day tried to record again but this time the unit just

i dont know how your product is because i cant hook it up the directions are of no use because if i understood them it does not have one to hook to a vcr.i am very upset will neaver buy any other of you products again and will taKE THIS BACK AND BUY ONE

Not much to tell. This piece of doodoo wouldn't work right out of the box. Had to take it apart to get my dvd back out. Wouldn't recommend to anyone, well ok, maybe someone I really didn't like! LOL

This bargain-basement model has all of the basic features, but its image quality is so-so and its remote is difficult to use.

Review Verdict: The DVR1600 records middling-quality video, but it doesn't cost much more than a DVD player, making it an acceptable choice to serve as a second DVD recorder.
