Purchased (3) of these units, 2 for presents and the other one for myself (Christmas of 2004). So far 2 out of 3 are out of service. The first player was accidentally dropped off the edge of a bed on to a carpeted floor (about 2 feet) and that was it for

I am not very happy with this product. Very early on the volume went, then the color started chipping and now I get no picture. We only use it for travel. Therefore I feel it's not a very durable product
