Purchased (3) of these units, 2 for presents and the other one for myself (Christmas of 2004). So far 2 out of 3 are out of service. The first player was accidentally dropped off the edge of a bed on to a carpeted floor (about 2 feet) and that was it for #1. The second player freezes up constantly, making it impossible to enjoy a movie. It worked pretty good for the first few months,but still was freezing up 2-3 times per disc. Lately (approx 1 yr. old) the picture stops every 30 seconds or so, even after installing several different discs. Can re-start movie by tapping on lid several times but it usually skips to the next chapter of the disc. The third player has only been used a couple of times and has not broke yet, but not expecting much in the way of quality from this one either. This unit does come with AC/DC adapter and DC cigar lighter adapter, along with a rechargeable battery that does last about 2-2-1/2 hours during playback, and the necessary audio/video cables to hookup to alternate source. All considered, this product would not be all that bad if INITIAL would address the issue of picture freeze up.
