This deck has MPEG4/DivX/XviD playback lacking on most other machines. Also has an HDMI connector for digital to digital display.

<br>As noted there is no tuner, which will soon be a non-issue. In less than 2 years NTSC tuners will be obsolete as all broadcast and broadband will be digital. CW

Comments:
There is no way to express my frustration upon receiving four of these units for my applications. There is no tuner in the unit at all for receiving RF/Cable signals. What the heck is the use of making this model?!?! It is amazing that Samsung would consider making this unit as the replacement to the 9650, which was an outstanding model of consumer grade dvd/vhs combo. No tuner, means, me, no more buy, Joe.
