use of stanley fan in the workplace

We use the stanley blower fan all the time. It is very useful when working with
 paints, solvents and other cleaning materials. the fan is very tough and durable.
 The weight and size of the fan comes in handy when working in small or hard to get to areas. The only concern that I have is with the fan being electric is it
 explosion proof. Our safety mgr. asked this question and I really need a answer.
