Unpacked this unit,put it together,tried slicing some cheese and immediately found out how bad this slicer is!Try to adjust for thin slices and the housing is so flimsy that it flexes so you cant control the size of cut.Motor is noisy.Blade kept loosening causing wobble which in turn would soon chew up cheap plastic drive gears if not stopped.I didnt waste time in getting it re-packed and on its way back to vendor!I would not even recommend to my worst enemy.I would suggest to anyone looking to purchase a slicer to check out what the drive gears are made of and avoid buying any that are plastic.I have an older Rival that is all metal body construction with metal drive gears that I intend to have repaired after seeing the newer units they are selling!
