Comments:
The item is very portable. It finds most destinations with even the least of info, ie: places of attraction or major airports.

QuickTake:

Pros: It locates a satelite in a timely manner. It is easy to use for finding most places I have had to use it for.
Cons: Battery is not long lasting.

This is my 3rd GPS all Magellans, since this one I bought a Garmin 200, and TomTom One 3rd Edition. All priced about the same. TomTom to me is the best. Best routing options, although the Magellan screen might be a bit easier to read. Magellan doesn't offer much on there website. TomTom has a lot of downloads for free.

QuickTake:

Pros: Choice of routing, includes Shortest Time, Shortest Distance, Least use of Freeways, Etc.
Cons: Instead of re-routing when you make a wrong turn, it tells you to make a legal U-Turn

Magellan Maestro 3100 GPS Review

Comments:
Magellan today release details about the upcoming Maestro 3100. Similar to the 4000 series, the new 3000 series features a slim profile not found on the other Magellan lines. In contrast to the 4 inch screens on the 4000 series, the 3000 series features a

Review Verdict: This Magellan is cheap and an easy way to get into Navigation, but it's missing a lot of bells and whistles…no TTS, a POI database with far less than most GPS units, a terrible battery life for a portable unit (3 hours on the lowest sc...

Magellan - Maestro 3100

Comments:
budget in-car Sat Nav

Review Verdict: It's a horrible expression but Magellan ticks all the boxes with its Maestro 3100 and at first glance it supplies every feature you could possible need at an incredibly low price. Take a second look and you'll see that you actually get a fairly basic unit

Product Rating: 3 star(s) Review: Magellan Maestro 3100 satellite navigation

Comments:
A pocket-sized navigator and guide

Review Verdict: A dinky and feature full device that gets you from A to Z as quickly as possible. However, the time it takes for the sat nav to locate the destination and to fumble around the buttons might just not be worth it.
