Nice toy, poor navigation tool

Bluetooth not compatable w/my phone. But I haven't found any GPS compatable w/ my Verizon Gzone. <br>The routing was so poor it would want to take me off of a freeway at an overpass and route me through and then back on the freeway. This happened often.

This is my first GPS of the automotive variety. Maybe that's why it just wasn't obvious that "Route To" was the control that had to be pressed to make the unit start giving me directions. Once en-route, it wasn't obvious how to memorize new points of i

Mio C520 GPS Review - Nubile Navigation
A new slim SatNav system, suits you sir. We test the latest from Mio the C520 which has mapping in 22 countries and managed to keep us on track during a sponsored hike.
Mio DigiWalker C520t
In-car satellite navigation is getting cheaper thanks to fierce competition, but does the C520t do enough to convince Jon?
Review Verdict: The trouble with Mio's latest sat-nav is that it's a case of two steps forward, one step back. The widescreen is very nice and Mio has made good use of the extra space, packing lots of much-needed improvements in. Alas, a bit like installing solar panels

The 520t might just show why TomTom, Navman and Garmin won't hog all the market share for ever

Review : Mio C520t Satellite Navigation
This is the top of the range unit from Mio and the size of screen makes it ideal for use in a car. There are modes for pedestrian and bicycle but the size and short battery life make these unsuitable.
Review Verdict: For a purely car device battery life is not critical but if you give bicycle and pedestrian modes then I would suggest at least 4 to 5 hours is essential. This top of the range model comes with a slip case either for when you park the car or take it for a

Mio Digiwalker C520 - Gadget Guy Australia
The Mio C520 is a bulky GPS unit, but that's with a very specific purpose in mind, as it uses all of its size, along with a unique split-screen approach to presenting information, making it an easy to use navigation device
Review Verdict: At $699, the C520 represents excellent value for money. Its large carrying size means it's not perhaps for the GPS enthusiast who also enjoys lengthy hikes, but otherwise it comes highly recommended

This is generally a good value for money unit. Great display, good options, but those options are often hidden in menus within menus. It's intuitive to a degree, but some options are in weird places. I also noticed that sometimes where you have a service road paralleling a major road, the unit will allow you to go onto the service road (where there may be traffic lights, stop signs, etc) and still think you are on the major road. Overall, I am happy with the Mio C520 and would recommend it with one caution: do not count on Mio for any type of service support. They are absolutely hopeless.
