Comments:
One should look for its simplicty. The product does not offer re-routing capabilities. This happens when driver knows the route and continue the course they choose to. The GPS should then re-route.

QuickTake:

Pros: Item is true to size and lightweight.

Cons: This is overcomplicated to use. It does not offer good deletion capabilities in Favorites & Recent Destinations.

TOMMY TAKES ME WHERE I WANT TO GO!

My TomTom serves the purpose for which I bought it very well. It is reliable and I depend upon it to get me to my destinations. I like it's durability and compact design. I use the male voice and call him Tommy.

Pros: not having to take my computer with me for guidance anymore, I trust it to get me there

Cons: some of the directions are not accurate, don't like the volume control as touch screen feature

Tom Tom Gets You There On Time

The Tom Tom GPS is really great...gets me to where I need to go safely and on time.....very easy to use for those of us that can't tell directions well and get lost a lot...well worth the price..

fast to deliver hot pizzas

I bought it refurbished, it has been working very well, it has many options that you can adapt in your GPS, I deliver pizzas, and it has been a very good help, I dont waste time, it saves me gas, sometimes I need to check the house number because it tells me that I arrive to house I am looking and is not the correct one, most of the time is correct.

AWESOME Stress Reliever for trips and daily travel

I appreciate the clearly spoken directions combined with the ability to view turn by turn written instructions (an option presented). I've recommended this equipment to a dyslexic friend; it has helped save him a lot of driving frustration and prevents him from getting lost. Huge stress reducer. Using the TomTom in previously unvisited towns and on unknown streets saves time of running map searches or reading maps before departure. I also use it to estimate travel times and mileage.

QuickTake:

Pros: User friendly without reading instructions. Has removed a lot of travel stress from my life.

Cons: Night vs. day viewing could be easier to change or automatic based on time and location.

Easy to use, great price

Great Price, bought it for the family vacation to the Grand Canyon and it worked awesome. Didn't have to listen to the kids ask 'are we there yet'? They just read the GPS.

Very user friendly, fun to use!

I love the easy to use menu, the ability to make map corrections and download map corrections from other users. The ability to download new voices, even make your own is awesome. The screen is an adequate size for driving, but the unit is still small enough to carry in your pocket. The cons are that there is no memory card slot in this unit, so you are stuck with the built in 1 GB of memory. Also, if you don't regularly update via computer (at least 1x per week), it can be slow acquiring satellites. I also would like some sort of text to speech ability so it tells you what road to turn on, instead of a generic "Turn right" or "turn left". But overall, this GPS is very easy to use, works reliably, and for the money can't be beat! I will definitely be using this all the time!

Pros: Very good at finding the shortest routes, gives plenty of advance warning for turns & exits.

Cons: No Mem Card slot. Sometimes slow acquiring satellites, but regular updates help.

I use my TomTom all of the time. It's great when I'm unfamiliar with the area. It gives plenty of notice before a turn and lets you know what lane to be in. I love the points of interest, and when guiding you to a restaurant located on a busy street, it guides you around the block to put you on the correct side of the street. You should consult a map when leaving on a trip because the TomTom has selected routes that I don't prefer, but if you tell it to pick an alternate route, it does so very quickly.

QuickTake:

Pros: Great for roadtrips and even just around town when you are unfamiliar with the area.

Cons: Occasionally picks a less desirable route so it helps for long trips to preview it.

I use it when I go to metroplex area, to see my kids in college, to see my family in Virginia Beach. I feel safe with it. It gives me great options to get around the tollways, fastest route. It was a great price. I love it!
