"Lost-Not"

I am pleased with the price. My sister bought the next model up and paid 3X the amount for a few extras that are nice. I got more bang for the buck.

Pros: It gets me where I'm going when I am not familar with areas.

Cons: Beware of the avoidances. clicked them all and took me all the back roads. Avoided highways. Duh

Great value, great device

This was a remanufactured device that is simple to use, meets my need for directions to places we travel and the price was terrific. I was impressed enough to order the same device for my wife's car.

Cons: Very seldom it takes a bit longer than I want to acquire the satellite--usually when I'm leaving a parking deck.

Garmin Rocks!

I've looked at other GPS systems, and I couldn't pass this up for the price. I bought a reconditioned unit for $99 with a 2-year extended warranty. Compare that to a $499 unit that you still need to purchase the latest maps for, and it makes this a down...

Pros: calculates or re-calculates routes quickly, very accurate

Cons: latest software and upgrades should have been applied as I just bought it. Cost of maps is a little extreme.

this is my first gps , so I cant compare to others, i love it so far, but havent tried to update the maps yet. I had to screw the holder to my dash, suction cup kept falling off windshield. I have recommended it and will again. so far.
