We used these headset mics to record podcasts in our classroom. They easily kept the noise from others in the room from interfering with our recordings. The flexible boom mic made it easy to adjust the distance from the mouth, making clear recordings. The only negative, which we didn't mind really, was that the headset isn't adjustable, so we had to hold them on sometimes. The "over the ear around the back" feature was hard for the kids to understand at first. The long, very flexible cord is a nice feature, and it has inline volume control for listening and an on-off switch for the mic. I liked being able to have different colors on the earpieces...not necessary, but kind of nice, and does help identify which set you are working with in case they stopped working or you had different students assigned to a particular headset. I'd definitely buy these again...but mine still work great!
