First of all, that one review on here was for the HM1-10R-32 model(1000W), not the 1500W. This one is Great! (It has only been out a few months.) Before we ordered this one, I researched many heaters. Some only heat you or objects with radiant or other direct heat like ceramic heat and the rest of the room is cool, but this one has new technology which heats the whole room and doesn't take moisture out of the air. It is amazing that it will heat our large master bedroom evenly and comfortably throughout the night. We rarely use our heatpump now here in AZ even though the temps at night are in the high 30's to low 40's. I'm not sure how effective this heater would be in the colder climates, like the East Coast or farther up North. A cool feature (pardon the pun!) is the ECO setting. After only about 15 minutes on high or low (1500W/1000W respectively) or when it feels comfortable, you put it on ECO, and it only uses 500W, but it keeps the room the SAME temperature all night long! Also, the remote is wonderful to use from the bed, so in the morning it can be turned off or during the night, if it gets too warm, you can lower the temperature. We strongly recommend this heater! In fact, we loved it so much, we bought another one for the living room. :) Oh, one more thing is that it is relatively inexpensive if you search the net for the lowest price, but we couldn't find ANY here within 50 miles or more.
QuickTake:
Pros: Heats Evenly w/o drying the air, ECO feature/500w, Remote
Comments:
This product worked great at first, but over time, this particular product line of Soleus Air Micathermic heaters will lose their ability to heat over time. Advertised at 1000 Watts, now, after 1 year, is 478 Watts, and loses wattage each day it's used. This means it's outputting less and less heat.

I submitted a claim to Soleus Air and they have not resolved the problem - they only gave some explanation thinking they were right, but I sent them more details of the problem and they have not responded for over 1 month. Looking up my case number on their site, they consider this case resolved. It is not.

This is product is faulty and you won't get any reimbursements, so be careful, and buy a different brand, or a different heating technology like ceramic.

I will not ever buy a Soleus Air product again - I do not want to support their company in producing poor quality products with poor customer support.
QuickTake:
Pros: Very quiet
Cons: Loses ability to output heat over time
