In many ways, the Acer Aspire One is like the little sibling of MSI's Wind. Besides sporting the same Intel Atom N270 processor running at 1.6GHz, 1GB of RAM, and Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics, the two netbooks share a similar look and feel. Read on
Review Verdict: In our benchmarks, the similarities continued: The Aspire One performed nearly identically to the Wind in almost all of our tests, chugging through the Photoshop script in just 729 seconds, a second faster than the Wind. It also lasted a few minutes longe

The Acer Aspire One might not be as good a performer like the MSI Wind, but it's certainly cheap
Review Verdict: This makes it easy to find specific programs but we found the navigation system of the OS intuitively lacking and certainly isn't as smooth and well thought through as the Eee PC

Acer wants a slice of the netbook pie. With the Aspire One, Acer adds XP, Linux, and an Atom CPU to the mix. How does it perform?
Review Verdict: The Acer Aspire One cuts a pretty good figure. Price wise, it is definitely an interesting alternative as this Linux-based pocket-sized machine that can be used on the go almost anywhere (until the battery runs out 2.5 hours later) retails for only $329

Acer's Aspire One was one of the first Netbooks to be released in the UK, but initial opinions were mixed. With so many other models on the market now, it has since been bettered in many ways by lots of its rivals, but still provides a fairly solid choice
Review Verdict: The 1.1kg chassis is available in white or blue/black. The white model looks far more stylish than the blue, but it does show dirt sooner on the casing and keyboard. Build quality is strong on both, although the glossy lid is prone to scratches

Many months after the launch I finally get my hands on one, and yes it was worth the wait. Nice small machine that does not cost the earth and if you only want word processing, email and Internet then why look elsewhere.
Review Verdict: As stated in my introduction for basic Word Processing, Email or Internet use it is fine, for carrying around at under a kilo it is also fine, however I must put up a question mark about battery life as two hours for someone on the road a lot is just not

Acer Aspire One A150-Bb
Comments:
Following on from our test of the Acer Aspire One 110 whose beta version we had the pleasure of testing just a few months ago, the 150 Bb has now been released, this time with a conventional hard disk drive
Review Verdict: The A150's key advantage is the amount of room it has on its hard drive and the good data transfer speeds it has for getting data on and off it. Unfortunately, it's weaker in other areas, including battery life, and, notably, noise levels.

Ultra-compact 'netbook'
Review Verdict: Chic, compact, ultra-portable and priced well below the competition, Acer's Aspire One is a worthy opponent to its mini laptop rivals at Asus and HP. However, it's not as Net-versatile and it suffers from a short battery life.
