Product Rating: 5 star(s) Great buy with long battery life!

A truly great little player at a great price for those who want a rugged easy to use way to keep their music flowing! After owning two previous models in this series, the 512Mb M230 and 1Gb M240,I was eager to get my hands on the M260 and I was anything but disappointed. Like its little brothers it runs for 17-23 hours on a single aaa battery, depending on how bright you have the backlight, and is lightweight and very rugged. The included armband makes it easy to carry while jogging and the ability to carry a spare battery in your pocket means the tunes never stop at an inconvenient moment. Lack of video support means this is not for the portable video watchers, but I prefer the utility of the design. The Sandisk M260 like the rest of the M series is designed to do one thing and do it well: to make it easy to carry your music with you wherever you go. Its easy to use, supports use as a USB drive as well as Windows Media Player sync, and supports Plays For Sure for those of you with a subscription service like Napster or Rhapsody.

QuickTake:

Pros: FM Radio, runs for over 17 hours on easy to change triple a battery
Cons: Lack of video capability makes this an audio only choice

Product Rating: 3.5 star(s) SanDisk Sansa M260 MP3 Player

Comments:
SanDisk's Sansa m260 flash player shares the same 4GB storage capacity as Apple's high-end iPod Nano. And that's where any similarity between the two players ends. The m260, which costs $199 (as of 4/13/06), may offer more bang for the buck than the prici

Review Verdict: The Sansa m260 is a decent little MP3 player, and for active music lovers who want 4GB of storage at a reasonable price, it's worth a look. However, if you want an easy-to-use device that puts equal weight on form and function, you should keep shopping
