Shame on Logitech
, Dec. 11, 2006
I bought this expensive mouse because I love the way it feels and because of its extra features, like buttons that let you zoom and jump from window to window. Great. Then I tipped my laptop on edge and broke off the tiny, fragile transmitter in a USB

Product Reviews: Logitech MX Revolution
The MX Revolution is sculpted for right-handed users (like the MX1000) and offers thumb support. Unlike the MX1000, this rodent has another scroll-wheel placed near your thumb too. This doesn't actually let you scroll but rather, acts as an application sw
Review Verdict: Takes time to get used to, but once you do its clever features and performance make it worth the effort.

Logitech MX Revolution Mouse (5mice)
The Logitech MX Revolution Mouse is comfortable, performs flawlessly, and is highly configurable. While it does take up a USB port, that's a minor complaint for such a great device.
Review Verdict: The MX Revolution has five buttons, as well as two clickable scroll wheels, one on the top and the other near the thumb rest. Logitech's software provided the most configurable global and application-specific settings of the mice I've tested recently. You

This is a wonderful mouse. I was amazed at the amount of customization that the software allows -- it even allows automatic changing of the behavior of the mouse depending on the application that's being used! Clutch mechanism that can automatically switch from click scrolling to freewheel scrolling is very nice and intuitive. Only real downside is the price of the mouse, but I got it at a great sale price with rebate. I just hope its durability is good and that it doesn't get easily clogged with dust & dirt.
