Short lifespan for 3820

Comments:
The 3820 delivered good print quality. But it only did it for a few months before quitting. The estimate for the repair was more than the cost of the printer.

This printer is hard to get back after paper jams, etc.
, Dec. 19, 2003
Comments:
Error lights go on often, paper jams cause continuous printing of jibberish and it just messes up too often. Currently, not working at all.

Hardware problem with ink cartridge?
, Nov. 16, 2003
Comments:
I have worked with HP's customer service several times. Reinstalled the print drivers, etc. Changed out the ink cartridges. It will only print once before showing a non-exsistant jam and the cartridge light begins to blink. Will return.

I've had bad luck with these printers

I've had two of these printers. The first one had horrible print quality. I thought I just had a bad cartridge so I bought a new one. Nope, the printer was the cause. Took it back to the Apple store for an exchange. Second printer has been working OK,

I do like the quality of the print, but the printer is very sensitive, it stops and jams up for no reason at all. The last time it stoped I can't get it to work, the ink cartridge is jammed and it won't budge. Will buy a new printer, but not a 3820.
