A must have for any home theater setup!

I love pressing one button and having my TV and cable box turn on together, no switching inputs, the remote does it all for you! Bought the Harmony 550 to replace the 5 remotes I was using, now I only have to deal with one remote, and it's far better than any one of those in terms of build quality and ergonomics. Setup was easy, install the software included, input the model number of your TV, DVD, cable box, etc and you're good to go. Setting up the remote and going through the troubleshooting guide helped me find out that my AV receiver wasn't working, but that's not the 550s fault. Once set up, controlling everything is incredibly easy, and the Activities button simplifies the entire process. I love pressing one button and having my TV and cable box turn on together, no switching inputs, the remote does it all for you!

Great for the remote control insanity

The ease of use is ideal for my wife who hates remotes - especially multiple units. This eliminates the need for all those remotes and it's a simple one button click for her to get everything working as it should be. One down side with this model, though, is that programming is a real pain at times because you have to know more about your products to find the right programming.

Nice Universal

Very nice to be able to turn on so many things at the touch of a button. Having trouble getting it to change inputs on the TV and I end up having to do this manually. Other than that it is very nice to have only one remote instead of four.

Pros: Nice to have one remote. I haven't figured out exactly how it works just yet but about 90% of the time I'm good.
